Three killed in head-on collision North of Paragould

PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - Three people were pronounced dead late Friday night into Saturday morning after a head-on collision along highway 49 North of Paragould.

The accident happened around 9pm Friday night, shutting down highway 49 for hours.

The Arkansas State Police investigation shows that a Ford Aero Van driven by Elaine M. Rossiter crossed the centerline hitting a Cheverolet driven by Tony A. Wilson and his passenger Johnnie R. Rowe.  Wilson's vehicle left the road and flipped over.  When emergency crews arrived on the scene they found the van on fire.

All three victims of the accident were pronounced dead at the scene by Greene County Deputy Coroner Stephen Pace.  All victims involved in the accident were from Paragould.
