Arkansas 7, South Carolina 4

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Chase Leavitt batted in two runs in the fifth inning Sunday to help Arkansas overcome a four-run deficit and win at South Carolina 7-4. The victory in the rubber game of the series gives Arkansas (22-6, 10-2 Southeastern Conference) its fourth consecutive SEC series win as the team is off to its best start ever.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas' baseball team is in action again on Tuesday and Wednesday in a non-conference series. Arizona State visit Baum Stadium for the 2-game set.

On Friday, Vanderbilt comes to Fayetteville to start a 3-game SEC series. Sun Belt Conference team Louisiana-Monroe visits Baum Stadium the next week before Arkansas heads to Georgia for an SEC series.

MAGNOLIA, Ark. (AP) - Southern Arkansas overcame a 4-0 deficit beat Arkansas Tech 10-6 on Sunday at Magnolia. The victory gave the Muleriders the series sweep. The Muleriders are back in Action on Tuesday at Batesville in a non-conference game against Lyon College.

Southern Arkansas improves to 37-2 overall and 11-1 in the Gulf South Conference. The Wonder Boys fall to 19-23 and 7-5.

Catcher Brandon Graves hit what turned out to be the game-winning run with a two-run home run over the center field fence in the sixth inning.

CONWAY, Ark. (AP) - The University of Central Arkansas Bears scored eight runs in the sixth inning Sunday on the way to an 11-4 victory over Texas State in a Southland Conference game at Conway. The Bears (15-14, 7-8) trailed 4-3 heading into the bottom of the sixth but sent 14 batters to the plate against four different Bobcat pitchers.

Senior third baseman Jonathan Yerby had a two-run single and junior catcher Eric Tennyson added a two-run double in the inning.

The Bears go on the road Thursday to face Nicholls State in Thibodaux, La., in another Southland Conference series.
