WEST MEMPHIS, AR (WMC-TV) - West Memphis police are looking for the suspect who took off with several bags of cash early Monday morning from Southland Gaming and Racing.

Surveillance cameras captured the struggle for the money, and were rolling as the robber ran away down Ingram Street, leaving in a small getaway car.

"One suspect at this time is all we're aware of," West Memphis Assistant Chief Mike Allen said.

Allen said the robbery was timed perfectly.  As employees collected gaming money, a masked man walked out of a nearby bathroom and demanded money.  Though he never flashed a gun, he kept one hand in his pocket the entire time, indicating he was armed.

The robber one the struggle, and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Allen said it was only the second robbery he could remember at Southland.  The other happened last November, when three robbers burst into the establishment, pointing guns and demanding money.  Police caught the robbers and their getaway driver within a month.

"Information that came through CrimeStoppers helped lead to the four suspects that were arrested in last fall's, and we're hoping that by putting out this information that we will get leads that will help us to solve this particular crime," Allen said.

Allen added police will soon make security recommendations for Southland Park.
