Sports Minute: Mourning in Anaheim...Will they go low again at Augusta today?

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - The L.A. Angels' game against Oakland was postponed last night out of respect for 22-year-old Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart, who died along with two other persons early yesterday after their car was struck by a suspected drunk driver who police say ran a red light. Police arrested a suspect identified as Andrew Thomas Gallo, 22, of Riverside, Calif. and say he was driving on a suspended license because of a previous drunken driving conviction.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) - Augusta National yielded unusually low scores with 19 players shooting in the 60s and more than a third of the field breaking par yesterday. Chad Campbell takes a one-shot lead over Jim Furyk (FYOOR'-ihk) and Hunter Mahan (MAY'-han) into today's second round with Tiger Woods five shots off the lead.

(AP) - In the NHL, the New York Rangers and Montreal Canadiens both clinched playoff berths in the Eastern Conference and the New Jersey Devils won the Atlantic Division title. Nashville beat Detroit 4-3 in a shootout and tied St. Louis for the final spot in the Western Conference playoff race with one game left for the Predators and two left for St. Louis.

CHICAGO (AP) - The Chicago Bulls are closing in on their fourth NBA playoff appearance in five years. The seventh-place Bulls reduced their magic number for clinching a playoff berth to one over Charlotte following last night's 113-99 win over Philadelphia.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Lakers coach Phil Jackson will miss tonight's game at Portland because of pain and swelling in his lower right leg. Jackson coached last night's 116-102 Lakers victory over Denver, which ended the Nuggets' 8-game win streak and moved Los Angeles within a half-game of Cleveland for the best record in the NBA.
