Red Wolves knocked out of NCAA bowling championship

CANTON, Mi - The Arkansas State Red Wolves lost a close fought contest to the Nebraska in the first round and were eliminated by Vanderbilt in the second round of the NCAA bowling championship on Friday.

Top-seeded Nebraska needed all seven games to advance past defending NCAA runner-up Arkansas State, winning 4-3.

The game scores: 147-191, 190-153, 144-234, 190-170, 169-239, 205-197, and 202-170.

Vanderbilt defeated Arkansas State in second round action, four games to three.

The game scores:  226-195, 162-208, 201-183, 212-230, 181-201, 225-149, and 191-171.
