Shooting in Parkin, search underway

PARKIN, AR (KAIT) - A Monday morning shooting in Parkin leads police on a manhunt for a suspect.

According to Parkin Police Chief Dean Davidson, Robert Paul Bailey shot his brother in the leg early Monday morning.

Following this incident, Chief Davidson says the suspect then attempted to rob a man in  his home on Highway 75 South, when during the altercation, he shot the man six times in the chest.

Bailey's brother's condition is unknown, but the wounds were not thought to be life threatening. The second victim was transported to the Med in Memphis where he is said to be in stable condition.

Police are searching for Robert Paul Bailey, who they believe could be under the influence of methamphetamine and is considered armed and dangerous. The suspect may be driving a gray Chrysler car, license plate 908-MPN.
