Royals CF Crisp leaves game with sore shoulder

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Kansas City center fielder Coco Crisp was removed from the game in the fifth inning Tuesday night with what the team said was soreness in the right shoulder.

Crisp had flied out and struck out against Detroit starter Edwin Jackson. The Royals' leadoff hitter was batting .233. The team said he would be evaluated. He was replaced by Mitch Maier.
