by Stan Morris

POCAHONTAS, AR (KAIT) - Search parties have located the body of a missing swimmer who disappeared Saturday on the Eleven-Point River.

34-year-old Jerry Clements' body was recovered Wednesday evening at about 6:40 PM. According to Randolph County Sheriff Gary Tribble, a fisherman spotted the body just about 3/4th of a mile south of the Black's Ferry bridge.

Sheriff Tribble says the body has been sent to the crime lab for autopsy, but the cause of death is suspected as a drowning.

Clements leaves behind his wife and children.

"On behalf of all involved in the search, I want to express my sincerest condolences," said Sheriff Tribble in a statement to Region 8 News.

Taking part in the search were the Randolph County Sheriff's department, Sharp County rescue divers, Lawrence County and Craighead County trackers, Water Valley, Maynard and Pocahontas Fire Departments, Medic 1 and AET ambulance services, Game & Fish officers and local residents. Sheriff Gary Tribble expressed gratitude to all who assisted.
