JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - After losing three of their clients and one of their employees, the staff members at Focus Incorporated are trying to move forward.
"It was a nightmare. It was a nightmare. It was horrifying and it seems very unreal," said Focus Inc. Co-Director Jackie Buchanan.
Wednesday's accident is something the staff of Focus Inc. is still processing.
"If you were to look at this accident scene its not amazing that five people died in it. It's amazing that six people did not," said Buchanan.
It's those six lives that Focus is thankful for, while at the same time they mourn the four they tragically lost in Wednesday's accident. As for the injured, Buchanan said they are doing very well.
"They sustained minor injuries. Five of them have already been released from the hospital and one of them is expected to be released Friday," said Buchanan.
In the meantime, they are not running any of their programs. For now they are doing everything they can to help all of the families. For the injured, Buchanan said many don't fully understand what has happened.
"These are people with disabilities. I don't know how much of it they really grasp. Some of them do, some of them don't," said Buchanan.
She said they are all very tired right now with so much to do and the level of stress they are all under. She adds the enormity of this accident hasn't really hit them yet.
"We're going to get trough this and we're going to bounce back," said Buchanan.
