LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - At least three members of the University if Tennessee's men's track and field team have automatic births in the NCAA championships this year.
UT added another athlete this weekend who automatically qualified for the championships being held June 10-13 in Fayetteville, Ark. Five more have a chance to win at-large bids.
Hurdler Charlton Rolle, a sophomore, earned an automatic bid Saturday. Rolle will be heading to the national championships for the second year in a row.
Nick Panezich and Michael Ayers also earned automatic bids for shot put and the decathlon respectively.
The NCAA Regional track and field event was held this weekend in Louisville.
At large berths will be decided on June 2.
