Walnut Ridge Country Club loses court battle

WALNUT RIDGE, AR (KAIT) - The Walnut Ridge County Club has lost its legal battle with the Walnut Ridge Airport in a decision handed down today by Judge Harold Erwin.

The Country Club has 30 days to, as the letter of opinion from Judge Erwin says, "remove all property improvements, structures and other impedements to air navigation. They must also restore said property to pre-leased condition."

The letter also gives the airport the right to terminate the country club's lease. It also terminates the leases between the country club and airport.

The Country Club can file an appeal but according to the airport attorney, David Cahoon, the Country Club must pay $10,000 to cover court costs if they appeal.
