FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Marcus Britt, a guard on the Arkansas basketball team, was arrested over the weekend in Forrest City for driving while intoxicated.
The Times-Herald newspaper of Forrest City reported Monday that the 21-year-old Britt was stopped at 2:40 a.m. Saturday after failing to stop for a stop sign.
The police report said the officer could smell alcohol when he approached the vehicle.
Britt's blood-alcohol content registered .113%. The legal limit in Arkansas is .08%.
Britt is charged with first-offense DWI, driving with a suspended license, no insurance, failure to appear for a ticket from 2007 and running a stop sign.
A call to the university wasn't immediately returned.
Britt averaged 3.7 points per game last season.
