FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas athletic trainer Joe Sheehan is leaving the Razorbacks to take a similar job with the Cleveland Browns.
Sheehan arrived at Arkansas last July and helped the Razorbacks develop a new athletic training program. He spent 11 years with the Jacksonville Jaguars before coming to Arkansas, and he'll now become head athletic trainer for the Browns.
"We are disappointed that Joe has decided to leave our program, but understand his reasons to pursue a head athletic training position in the National Football League," Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long said. "Joe has done a fine job leading the transition of our combined athletic training and sports medicine program. I am grateful for his leadership and appreciate his work."
