Waters a question mark as Chiefs open minicamp

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - The Kansas City Chiefs open their first mandatory minicamp under new head coach Todd Haley on Friday, and there's a bit of suspense.

No one knows for certain if 4-time Pro Bowl guard Brian Waters will suit up and take part.

Over the winter, Waters leaked to a columnist that he was furious with the way he was treated by Haley and new general manager Scott Pioli when he showed up offering to help get their program started.

Waters said he was treated with disrespect and not even allowed to meet with Pioli. He asked -- through the media -- to be traded, and he hasn't been seen in Kansas City since.
