Free Fishing Day is Saturday in Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - This is no fisherman's tale: You can fish without a license Saturday in Tennessee.

It's Free Fishing Day as designated by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. A 1-day license normally costs $5.50.

Additionally, children ages 13 to 15 may fish without a license through next Friday.

The promotion is designed to increase interest in fishing, though the agency says it already is "Tennessee's most popular form of outdoor recreation."
