New exhibit opens Saturday at state museum

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - An exhibition opening Saturday at the Tennessee State Museum showcases a variety of souvenirs from the Tennessee State Capitol.

The objects, which include postcards, commemorative spoons and photographs, are part of the museum's permanent collection but normally are not on view to the public.

They are being displayed until Aug. 9 as part of the Capitol's 150th anniversary.

Admission to the museum, in downtown Nashville, is free.
