Waters attends Chiefs minicamp

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Disgruntled Kansas City Chiefs guard Brian Waters showed up for the first day of mandatory minicamp.

The 4-time Pro Bowler has demanded - through the media - that he be traded after what he described as disrespectful treatment of him by new coach Todd Haley and first-year general manager Scott Pioli.

Waters is a team leader and 1 of the few Chiefs who played with any distinction during last season's 2-14 year. He had refused to attend any voluntary team activities this spring.

He did not show up Wednesday night at a charity event where he was listed as an attendee. Sponsors said they had not heard from him. However, he did show up for minicamp on Friday.
