GEORGETOWN, Ky. (AP) - A central Kentucky man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of his disabled sister, whose mummified remains were found in the trunk of his car.
Scott County Circuit clerk Karen Boehm said 30-year-old Timothy Brown of Georgetown also pleaded guilty Friday to charges including knowing abuse and neglect of an adult, theft by deception, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse.
A call to Brown's attorney, Joe Fooks, was not immediately returned.
Police found the remains of 31-year-old Penny Brown last September when they towed her brother's car to Kentucky from St. Louis after a complaint that the car had been left on a street there.
Sentencing was scheduled for Aug. 7.
