Tennessee pitching coach fired

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee has fired veteran pitching coach Fred Corral effective immediately.

Coach Todd Raleigh said Friday that philosophical differences led to the decision.

Corral spent a pair of 2-year stints as an assistant coach at Tennessee. He was with the program in 2003 and 2004 and then, following three years at Oklahoma, returned to Tennessee for the 2008 and 2009 seasons.
