Titans coach to visit troops in Persian Gulf

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher is among National Football League coaches who will visit U.S. troops in the Persian Gulf region later this month.

The league announced that also on the tour will be coaches Tom Coughlin of the New York Giants, former Pittsburgh Steelers mentor Bill Cowher, former Oakland Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Jon Gruden and Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh.

The NFL has sent players to visit troops overseas since 1966, but this is the inaugural coaches tour.

Fisher has forged a relationship with the 101st Airborne Division, based at Fort Campbell, Ky., and opened a practice session last season by parachuting onto the practice field with several soldiers.
