JONESBORO, Ar - Fans of Arkansas State athletics may now keep up with the latest Red Wolves happenings by using the social networking tool "Twitter," the athletic department announced Friday.
The Red Wolves' mascot, Howl, already has a presence on social networking websites Facebook and MySpace, reaching thousands of fans on the two sites combined. With the addition of Twitter, Red Wolves fans will now be able to stay instantly informed of the latest scores, news, tickets and upcoming events.
"We are now in an age where people want their information instantly and these social networking sites will help us to reach out to our fans and to new audiences that may not be getting ASU information otherwise," said ASU Director of Corporate Sales Brad Bobo. "Twitter is just another way of getting information to Red Wolves fans using their cell phones or computers."
