MLB to announce plans for All-Star concert

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Baseball's All-Star game in St. Louis is fast approaching, and so are the many events that accompany the game.

Among them is a free charity concert planned for July 11 beneath the Gateway Arch. Officials from the Cardinals and Major League Baseball plan a news conference on Monday to announce details of the concert, including the name of the performer.

The concert is sponsored by Pepsi and will benefit Stand Up To Cancer.

The All-Star game is July 14. It will be the first time St. Louis has hosted the mid-summer classic since 1966.
