KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Cardinals manager Tony La Russa has hit a milestone but he is more than willing to share his secret.
On Sunday night, La Russa watched St. Louis beat the Kansas City Royals, giving him his 2,500th win. He's now in New York, looking for No. 2,501, against the Mets.
La Russa is just 1 of 2 managers to win World Series rings in both leagues. He is willing to share his knowledge with anyone who'll listen, as long as they're serious about the game.
Just before Sunday's game, he was taking a few swings in left field with the Cardinals. He even made a few points to Kansas City's Trey Hillman.
