Paragould, AR (KAIT) -- Last week, Dana Busby, of Demopolis, AL was told that her daughter needed surgery in Omaha, NE to help her baby girl, Rhae, who has Osteogenesis Imperfecta.
She began to call around, asking for help to transport her daughter to the hospital specialized in this disease, "so we started calling around to some of the larger charity, non profit organizations around that fly patients and we talked to several of them, but none could help us. One lady I talked to felt so bad that she called me back on tuesday and asked if I had tried pilots for christ. I said that I had never heard of them, so she gave me their number and I called our local alabama chapter at 9:30 in the morning and by 3:00 in the afternoon, I had an email from mr. Winn and we had the trip setup."
Pilots For Christ is an organization that allows people like Lance Winn a way to serve the Lord while doing what he loves, "back years ago when I learned how to fly, I thought that maybe some day I can channel my love of flying to a service to the lord and others. And I had no idea what that was until 3-4 years ago when I got involved with Pilots For Christ".
