Arkansas baseball to play game in NLR

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas baseball team, fresh from a trip to the College World Series, has announced it will play a mid-week game in North Little Rock next season.

Coach Dave Van Horn said Wednesday that the Razorbacks will play Louisiana Tech at Dickey-Stephens Park, home of the Arkansas Travelers minor league baseball team.

The date is still being worked out. Van Horn says the team in two years is scheduled to play at Memphis in the Class AAA Redbirds stadium, followed by a game with the Tigers at Dickey-Stephens.

The Razorbacks were 1 of 8 teams to qualify for the College World Series in Omaha, Neb. They advanced but were eliminated by SEC West rival LSU, which won the title Wednesday night with an 11-4 victory over Texas.
