JONESBORO, Ar - Not only does the 2009 Hooten's Arkansas Football preseason magazine feature an Arkansas State cover for the first time in the publication's 17-year history, the Red Wolves football program and Arkansas State University are receiving the most exposure ever through Hooten's this year with additional coverage that spans beyond just the printed edition.
One of two covers, the ASU version tabs senior quarterback and senior running back Reggie Arnold as a "Dynamic Duo" who "drive Arkansas State to top of Sun Belt". The reader is then greeted by a three-page, full-color academic ad promoting Arkansas State University as "A Howl of an Experience."
ASU's coverage in the magazine also includes a four-page spread with a preview written by Jonesboro Sun Sports Editor Kevin Turbeville. Additionally, there is a two-page questions and answers section with Leonard and a full-page photo of the ASU defense in the "Kicking Off Photos" portion of the magazine sponsored by First Security Bank.
Copies of the magazine with the Red Wolves cover have been mailed to media outlets statewide, which newspapers and television and radio stations could potentially use for content. Ten complimentary ASU-cover magazines and 30 additional covers have also been sent to ASU for distribution.
Hooten's coverage of ASU this season also includes 96 state-wide television commercials. Four commercials will appear weekly on 12 television shows in two markets. There will also be 1,000 radio commercials airing twice weekly for 15 weeks on 30-plus stations.
Hooten's.com will feature ASU video commercials for 52 weeks and there will be a weekly broadcast of Red Wolves' Football with Steve Roberts on the Web site, which receives 700,000 hits per month during football season.
