KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee will consolidate all athletics donations into one major fund to streamline the process of providing athletic tickets and other benefits to donors.
Beginning with the 2010-11 athletic seasons, donations that previously would have gone to the Volunteer Athletics and Scholarship Fund under the men's athletic department and the Lady Vol Boost-Her Club will be handled by the Tennessee Fund.
The change means donors who have earned tickets and other athletic benefits by giving money to academic programs must donate instead to the Tennessee Fund to continue receiving their athletic benefits. Those donations can still be directed to academics but cannot be specified for particular programs.
