Team to open up stadium for fans to pay respects

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Steve McNair fans wanting to pay their respects to the former NFL quarterback will be able to at the stadium where he created so many memories.

The Tennessee Titans are opening LP Field Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fans can leave personal messages in a book that will be given to the McNair family. Video boards will show McNair highlights and a photo mural of his career with the Titans will be on display.

The ticket office also will be accepting donations to the Steve McNair Foundation.

McNair was found shot to death Saturday. A memorial service is being held Thursday night in Nashville. There will be a funeral service Saturday at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg with a private burial in his hometown of Mt. Olive.
