ST. LOUIS (AP) - Major League Baseball says the All-Star Game in St. Louis drew its largest television audience in a decade, with 33.6 million viewers seeing all or part of the broadcast.
But Fox reports that ratings and share were actually down a bit from 2008.
A spokesman for Major League Baseball says both are true. More people watched Tuesday night's game - but they represented a smaller percentage of total TV viewership than was true a year ago.
Major League Baseball also says more than 150,000 people attended FanFest, a 5-day event featuring family activities and visits by famous players at the convention center in downtown St. Louis.
The FanFest numbers in St. Louis are the highest recorded for the event.
