Daly finishes 6 strokes off pace in British Open

TURNBERRY, Scotland (AP) - Former Razorback golfer John Daly, who won the British Open in 1995, finished this year's version of the tournament six strokes off the pace set by Stewart Cink and Tom Watson.

Cink won the tournament Sunday in a four-hole playoff with Watson. Both finished the regulation four rounds in 278, two strokes under par.

Daly came in at 284. His share of the $6.8 million purse was $47,794.

Another Arkansan, Bryce Molder of Conway - who played his college golf at Georgia Tech - was playing in his first British Open this week. He finished at 287 and collected $25,539.
