KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Monday night's game between the Los Angeles Angels and Kansas City Royals has been postponed due to rain. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Tuesday.
Light rain started about three hours before the scheduled first pitch and picked up to a steady downpour about an hour later. The ground crew never removed the tarp from the field and the game was called around 8:40 p.m. - more than 90 minutes after its scheduled start.
Rookie Sean O'Sullivan was scheduled to start for the Angels, Sidney Ponson for the Royals.
