Razorbacks in Rome for swimming event

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - University of Arkansas swimmers Yi-Ting Siow, Erica Totten and Lynette Ng are in Rome this week to compete in the 13th FINA World Championships.

Competing for her home country of Malaysia, Siow will swim in the 100 and 200 breaststroke events and the 200 individual medley.

Siow is no stranger to international competition, representing Malaysia in the 2000, 2004 and 2008 Olympics. She holds Malaysian records in the 50-, 100- and 200- breast and the 200 IM.

Totten, competing for the Republic of the Philippines, will swim four events, competing in the 200-, 400- and 800 freestyle events and the 200 fly.

Ng, the Arkansas record holder in the 100 backstroke, is set to swim in the 100 back event for the Singapore National Team.
