Pacers F Hansbrough out with shin injury

Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - Indiana Pacers rookie forward Tyler Hansbrough will miss the next 6-to-8 weeks with a right shin injury, the team announced Friday.

The injury was initially suffered last year at North Carolina, as Hansbrough sat out four of the first seven games. He returned to play the final 31 games and led the Tar Heels to the national championship, averaging 20.7 points and 8.1 rebounds.

Hansbrough was the 13th overall pick in this year's NBA Draft.
