Cattle rounded up in downtown area in Tennessee

ATHENS, Tenn. (AP) - Police in Athens in East Tennessee say men in suits joined law enforcement officers in rounding up two cows that got loose downtown.

According to The Daily Post-Athenian, the cage holding four cows slid off the back of a trailer.

2 of the four, apparently frightened, began running around the street, a nearby field and a church parking lot.

They were finally shot with tranquilizer darts Tuesday afternoon and were led back into the cage.

Traffic was held up for more than an hour as the cows were collected and the cage and trailer moved out of the roadway.
