LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle, as a passenger or a driver, would be illegal under legislation filed Wednesday.

Democratic Senator Tim Wooldridge of Paragould's bill makes exceptions for things like tour buses or motor homes.

One who possesses or consumes an open container of alcohol would face a misdemeanor charge and fines from between $50 and $150.
