Missouri AD gets extension

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Missouri Athletic Director Mike Alden has signed a 5-year contract extension that keeps him at the school through 2017.

Chancellor Brady Deaton announced the extension Thursday.

Alden won't get a raise from his guaranteed total income of $537,375.

But the new agreement offers him more chances to earn additional financial incentives if he remains at Missouri at least five more years. Those bonuses are based on student-athletes' academic performance and the athletic department's financial status.

Alden is entering his 12th year as Missouri athletic director.
