Four more hired for Arkansas lottery

LITTLE ROCK, AR (AP) - The Arkansas lottery has hired four more employees.

Lottery officials said Friday and Henry Gilmore of Little Rock will be the communication and application support specialist at an annual salary of $50,580.

Shanta Arnold and Iris Bohannon, both of Little Rock, have been hired as retailer licensing specialists at annual salaries of $31,052 apiece.

Andrew Haynes of Cabot has been hired as a graphics specialist at an annual salary of $29,573.

The hires increase the lottery's number of announced employees to 27.  Ernie Passailaigue, executive director of the Arkansas Lottery Commission, has proposed cutting the number of lottery employees from 88 to 77.

He also wants to cut its annual personnel costs from $5.1 million to $4.6 million.
