HARRISBURG, AR (KAIT) - An armed robbery has taken place shortly after 11:00 a.m. this morning, according to Harrisburg Police.

Police believe a man was taking photos of a house for commercial reasons when an unidentified white male approached him, brandishing a gun and asking for his money. The man reported that the suspect took $37 from him.

Harrisburg Police Sgt. Gary Hefner tells Region 8 News that the suspect is believed to be a white male, about 5'8" tall, estimated to weigh at 150 pounds, wearing a teal t-shirt and light blue jeans. He was last seen driving an '86 or '87 brown/tan Chevrolet Celebrity passenger car. The car may have a faded ASU sticker on the rear window, possibly an aged parking sticker from years passed, said Sgt. Hefner.

Police believe the suspect is armed and should not be approached. If you have any information about the suspect or his whereabouts, you are urged to contact Harrisburg Police at (870)578-2530.
