Free Supplies Giveaway

Jonesboro (KAIT)-- One church in Region 8 helped the community get ready to go back to school.

New Way of Living Ministries in Trumann headed out to Cedar Park today to grill hamburgers, roast hotdogs, and hand out free school supplies to the community.

Even though the event was scheduled to begin at eleven, people were lined up and waiting at ten!  Pastor Shadun Duncan says he was overwhelmed at the turnout.  After running out of their supplies, they quickly made another trip to replenish.

The church took this opportunity to reach out and help the community, as well as invite anyone who was interested to come and enjoy fellowship at New Way. The church is located in the Days Inn and Suites on Commerce Drive in Trumann.

This is the first year for the Fun and Fellowship Free School Supply Giveaway, and Pastor Duncan hopes to continue this event next year.
