Cowboys' next game is first in new stadium

SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones can hardly contain his excitement. The next game his team plays will be its first in a new $1.1 billion stadium.

Jones says it will be "1 of the real highlights" of his career to see Dallas make its debut Friday night at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. That will be a preseason game against Tennessee.

Jones was at the Cowboys training camp Saturday, a day after seeing the Cowboys turf laid in the new stadium.

The stadium opened in June and has hosted international soccer matches, which use a different turf. Some concerts also have been held there, and Paul McCartney plays Wednesday night.
