Vandalism on farm causes heavy damage to tractors, crop

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A Sunday case of vandalism causes thousands of dollars in damage to both farm land and equipment in Craighead County.

It happened at Wiggin's Farm on County Road 192 Sunday. According to the Craighead County Sheriff's Department report, farm manager Jerry Cook said between 1:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., someone took several tractors and cause a great deal of damage both to the farm land and equipment.

The report says one tractor was triven through the fields, causing a listed damage amount of $10,000 to ten acres of corn.

In addition, another tractor collided with a third, causing significant damage.

Police report what may have been motorcycle tracks were at the scene, along with multiple beer cans.

The Craighead County Sheriff's Department is investigating the case.
