SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) - Sikeston Department of Public Safety officers arrested a 17 year old on burglary, theft, and stealing charges.

Dylan Martin faces two counts of burglary, two counts of vehicle theft, and two counts of stealing from a motor vehicle.

Sikeston DPS received several reports of theft from unlocked vehicles in the center and northern parts of town.  GPS units, cell phones, and firearms were taken from some of the vehicles.

Police have cleared three stolen vehicle cases, three burglaries, and more than 35 larcenies from vehicles from this investigation.  However, detectives are still investigating around 20 other larceny cases that have yet to be cleared.

Martin was taken to the Scott County Jail with a $25,000 cash only bond.  The arrests of the other members of this theft ring are expected to follow.

Detectives believe eight people are involved in this theft ring and expect more arrests to follow.
