JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro Police now says a shooting Saturday night in Jonesboro is connected to a deadly home invasion at the same apartment the night before.

According to Jonesboro Police, Saturday nights shooting took place at 306 Calion Street, Apartment A. Police found 2 bullet holes in the front door, and shattered windows to a car in the parking lot.

On Friday night police responded to the same apartment where witnesses say a man broke into the apartment armed with a shotgun. A resident inside the home him the intruder in the head with a tire iron.

The intruder was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
