EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (AP) - Services will be Wednesday for a 7-year-old southwestern Illinois boy killed when the all-terrain vehicle he was riding went out of control and crashed into a tree.
Investigators say Austin Henry of Troy died Saturday at a Maryville hospital of head and chest injuries shortly after he was thrown from the ATV while he was wearing a helmet.
Authorities say the four-wheeler's throttle may have became stuck.
Troy police are investigating.
Services for the second-grader at Troy's Silver Creek Elementary will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Irwin Chapel in Glen Carbon, with burial in Calvary Cemetery in Edwardsville.
