LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Even for a Division I football team, there's no easy way to fly to Hawaii from the Little Rock area.
So coach Clint Conque and his Central Arkansas Bears are busing to Dallas on Wednesday before boarding a direct flight to paradise for their season opener. The Conway school plays Hawaii on Friday night - in a game that will start around midnight Central time.
This is Central Arkansas' fourth season in Division I, and the Bears still aren't eligible for the postseason. This game was scheduled as a reward for the players who signed on with the program when it first moved up from Division II.
