LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Governor Huckabee unveiled an Internet site that will let him take his proposed education plan directly to Arkansans, bypassing local representatives and school administrators.
The Web site will feature streaming video which shows the governor answering selected questions about his plan to make the state comply with a Supreme Court order to improve its public education system.
The governor has complained that Arkansans aren't focusing on the benefits of consolidation -- such as reduced administrative costs -- and have lost sight of elements of his plan that would keep most schools intact.
