JONESBORO (9/9/09) - Thanks to a new agreement between Arkansas State Athletics and Fox College Sports, college football fans nationwide will now be able to keep up with Red Wolves football.
FCS has signed on to carry the weekly television shows of A-State football coach Steve Roberts and men's basketball coach John Brady during the 2009-2010 year. The weekly broadcasts kick off Thursday with the season premiere of "Red Wolves Football with Steve Roberts."
The 30-minute show will be shown on FCS Atlantic a minimum of three times each week, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Eastern on Thursday. Roberts' show will also air at 5:30 p.m. Eastern on Thursday, 3:30 p.m. Eastern Friday and in another late-night timeslot as well.
FCS Atlantic is one of three national networks operated by Fox College Sports, and the content of all three is available anywhere FCS is offered. Counting Arkansas State, the network shows 75-100 college football coach's shows and nearly 200 programs counting football and men's basketball.
Locally, fans can continue to see "Red Wolves Football" on Suddenlink Channel 22. The program airs at 8 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday nights. The weekly coach's show also airs at the end of football game replays on ASU-TV on Tuesday nights as well as game replays shown on cable outlets across Arkansas and Southeast Missouri.
Those weekly game replays as well as "Red Wolves Football with Steve Roberts" can now be seen throughout Central Arkansas to Comcast subscribers. The games will air each Wednesday night at 8 p.m. on Comcast Channel 18.
