Suspect in Kennett shooting, captured

KENNETT, MO (KAIT)- The suspect in a weekend shooting in Kennett has been caught in Jonesboro.

Jonesboro Police Department and Prowl unit caught 22-year- old Aaron B. Meadows, of Blytheville in Jonesboro at an apartment on East Oak Street Monday night.

Police say Meadows shot 30-year-old Roderick Wheeler, of Kennett Saturday afternoon.

It is not known as of now where the victim was shot, but police tell Region 8 News that Wheeler is listed in critical condition.

Meadows is charged with Assault in the 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action.

Meadows is also a suspect in shooting in Blytheville and Jonesboro.
