City Council honors Cleanup Volunteers

Jonesboro, AR (KAIT)- Tuesday, The Jonesboro city council honored two region residents who have really cleaned up.

Kelly Pope and Wallace Fowler received keys to the city for their work on a volunteer project to improve intersections on Highway 63.

According to the two, there is still work to be done. "Well, we're not finished yet, we've still got a lot to do. It looks good, but of course Kelly hadn't had an opportunity to spray it and kill the weeds and things like that, get the grass so it'll grow even but it's coming along real well" says businessman Wallace Fowler.

The two first started working on the project in October of last 2008.
