LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The House today agreed with Senate changes to a bill to form a panel to study what constitutes an adequate education.
The Senate changed the bill to push back a July first deadline by 60 days. The committee will now report at the end of August.
The new version passed the House 95-to-zero, and the bill goes to the governor. The measure is part of the state's effort to address an Arkansas Supreme Court order to improve public education.
